Active in California horticulture and landscape architecture since 1977, Maureen Gilmer had a wish to bring her love of botany to the radio. The KVMR environment provided her with the freedom to expand gardening into a more cultural experience. In return, she received the training to experience broadcasting on a grass roots level - gaining knowledge and understanding of every facet of the job.
