As a broadcaster, Tim has cheerfully filled in for other broadcasters when they weren't able to be in the studio. He's stayed up many a red-eye radio overnight, keeping the KVMR broadcast continuously on the air. A graduate of the KVMR

Broadcast Training Class of 2000 and a multiple talents sort of guy, he has helped out the station in so many different ways; it seems there's no job that needs to be done where Tim O'Brien isn't willing and able to lend a hand.

You may have seen Tim driving one of the antique cars from his collection, under the KVMR banner, in the 4th of July Parade, year 2000. Or, maybe you met Tim at the KVMR live broadcast booth during the Nevada County Fair. He spent several days there as a fun-loving broadcaster/interviewer plus, he slept there all night, keeping a watchful eye on the equipment. For the KVMR Celtic Festival, Tim had multiple volunteer jobs as a line producer, carpenter and security person.

A resident of nearby Smartsville for the past eleven years, Tim is a single Dad who devotes much of his time caring for his three young children. He has his own, small recording studio there and has been writing and recording music for over 25 years.

We should all applaud this busy man with his big smile and a giant heart.
