Tim moved to the Nevada City area two years ago from Sacramento where he was a loyal KVMR listener for many years. Tim is active with cycling, hiking, kayaking, photography, and building restoring and racing classic sports cars.

 

Recently retired from an active career with the State Department in Washington DC and State Government in Sacramento, Tim has extensive experience in marketing, marketing research, international trade, strategic planning and public relations.

 

He has traveled throughout Asia, Middle East, and Europe where he organized and led environmental technology trade missions resulting in the creation of over 1,000 jobs in California. Tim has presented at numerous international conferences, and acted as consultant in both the public and private sectors of India, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Egypt, and Israel. He developed and managed the California Environmental Partnership, created to promote technology transfer in the international marketplace in 43 nations and territories in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

 

Other successes include rewriting the Clean Air act in the Philippines, and authoring various technical and trade journal articles regarding public/private partnerships, environmental technology exports, and the role of government in promoting environmental quality in developing nations. He is a Founder and co-chairman of the Environmental Industry Coalition of the United States in Washington DC, as well as a business owner for eight years. Tim has also worked with the Navajo Nation setting up businesses for tribal members. He negotiated environmental settlements with numerous Native American Tribes along the Colorado River. Tim is a trained conflict resolution mediator, was a judge for California's Council for Excellence, and is a former Chairman of the South Lake Tahoe Planning Commission.
