Don Jacobson has been a broadcaster on KVMR-FM for fifteen years and his show, The Long and Dusty Road, is the longest running folk music program on KVMR.

He brings you traditional and contemporary folk music from this country and others, as well as storytelling, concert tapes, and live music in the studio. Don works hard to find and play folk music that is out of print, hard to find, or is self-produced, as well as some of the more well known.

His programs often have a theme such as International Women's Day, Earth Day, Winter Solstice (and other seasonal music), Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, Labor Day, In(ter)dependence Day, etc. Music with social content is frequently played, and you'll also be able to hear programs featuring work by one artist or group.
