The focus shifts from Americana to traditional and contemporary American folk music with an occasional journey into Celtic, old time bluegrass and early country music styles. As always, expect the best.....

It takes more than a just a guitar and a song to make a folksinger in the traditional sense, according to Dennis. In keeping with his rural background and tastes in music, Nevada City Limits prefers to present old time and contemporary folk music steeped in the traditional hand-me-down style of storytellers. Nevada City Limits airs bi-weekly on Fridays from 10am - 12noon pacific time (1-3pm eastern) in the United States of America.

Billy Bensing and Kellie Bradley
Friday, February 1, 2008
|
Billy and Kellie are local musicians living here in neighboring Grass Valley, California. On Friday, February 1, 2008, they appeared on Nevada City Limits with Dennis Brunnenmeyer. While Billy has been crafting songs and later singing and playing the guitar to accompany them for many years, Kellie is beginning to perform in public with Billy for the first time. Starting as Billy's guitar student, both quickly realized that they had something in common-the ability to combine two talents into something bigger than either one alone. All of the songs in this Studio 401 presentation were written by Billy. Dennis' favorite is the first one, titled "Banana Peel."
Keep your ears open for more of Billy and Kellie singing and playing together, for here's a music career in the making. Hopefully they'll release a CD together soon. Click here to visit Billy Bensing's web site.

Corinne West
Friday December 7, 2007

Nevada City Limits and excellent live radio programming go hand-in-hand. Dennis does it again! On Friday morning, December 7, 2007, Corinne West and bassist Joe Kyle, Jr. were Dennis Brunnenmeyer's guests on Nevada City Limits. On their way to a Bill Wagman house concert in Davis, CA, Corinne and Joe stopped by to talk to Dennis and co-host Wesley Robertson about her career, her new CD release titled Second Sight and to sing a few songs. Dennis and Wes both agree on this: Corinne is a red-hot vocalist and an accomplished songwriter. Keep your eyes and ears trained on Corinne West-she'll be back big-time!
