KVMR proudly presents its Birthday Celebration and Talent Show on August 5th, 2010 at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley. KVMR, 89.5FM is celebrating its 32nd Birthday with a talent show to entertain the public and loyal fans alike. Yes, that's right, the circus of the bizarre and talented and completely entertaining KVMR broadcast crew and friends will bring you a night to remember with KVMR's Three Ring Circus Talent show-The Greatest Show in Nevada County.

Many of you may know the radio station well, or perhaps you have your favorite broadcaster or your favorite show. What many of you may not know is the depth; breadth and scope of talent of those folks behind the microphone. The talent show will feature musicians, poets, dancers, jugglers, comedians, and even a fashion show! What better way to support KVMR than to see these folks in action.

KVMR 89.5 began 32 years ago in a small miner's shack on Banner Mountain in 1978, at just 20 watts, four hours a day. Today, KVMR has grown to 2,000 watts, with a live broadcaster on air 24 hours a day. In a world of pre-packaged programming, community radio provides a crucial independent source of music, news, and information. The station supports the arts, health and human services, education and environmental causes by giving an important voice to local nonprofit organizations.

Come one; come all to the Greatest Show in Nevada County-KVMR's Birthday Celebration and Talent Show on Thursday night, August 5th at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley. The doors will open at 5pm, for a reception, with the entertainment beginning at 6pm.
